Hi there, my name is Oluwatobi Babalola. I am a skilled and accomplished Senior Product Designer with a strong track record of success in creating digital solutions that meet the needs of diverse user groups. I am a Senior Product Designer at mPharma, where I lead the design strategy of two products while working closely with product management and development, as well as execs and other stakeholders. My expertise in executing all phases of design work, from business initiatives to conducting user testing, has helped reduce customer support dependency on orders made by 30% by designing the order history feature on mPharma’s e-commerce platform. I have also driven an increase in report usage and engagement by 51% in Q4 2022 in the Insights app for facility managers by running experiments like sending out a report spotlight email and in-app notifications that show activities happening in facilities. In addition, I have driven an increase in average order value by building a product cross-selling feature that increased sales by 300% in Q3 2022 from Q2 2022.

Before joining mPharma, I was a Senior Product Designer at Farmerline, LTD, where I supported the development of Mergdata, Farmerline's premier data gathering and analytics SAAS platform. I also led user research and delivered user flows, wireframes, design specs, and prototypes for enterprise products in the agriculture supply chain. In addition, I was responsible for designing a digital payment platform that allows organizations to make bulk payments to farmers’ mobile money wallets, which has been integrated with the major telecommunication companies in Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Benin, with the prospect of expanding to other African countries as the need for digital payment tools increases across Africa.

I have also had experience as a UI/UX Designer at Atlas Creative Consultancy in Lagos, Nigeria, where I was in charge of product iterations and developing prototypes while maintaining project timelines to meet business deadlines and goals. I led ideation, concept iterations, and final solution execution for QuizUp, a web-based application that allows users to learn and take quizzes in a fun and interactive way. In addition, I led the Flo tablet app's complete user interface and user experience design that helps large organizations monitor the influx and exit of visitors from their premises.

I have a Bachelor of Technology in Meteorology from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria, and I completed a UI/UX Bootcamp at the Stutern Graduate Accelerator in Lagos, Nigeria, and a User Experience Nanodegree from Udacity. In my spare time, I volunteer at SustyVibes, where I work with a group of enthusiastic young people positioned to deliver trends on sustainability to children and young people in Africa. I am passionate about creating awareness for programs that inform young people in Africa on how to take action on sustainability causes via social media campaigns.

When I’m not designing, I am cooking, watching football, or reading interesting articles and blogs centred on design ethics, augmented reality, social good, and smart cities.

I’d be happy to chat about things related to UX, and products, or build something cool together. Send an email to: [email protected].
